How many weeks is ideal for a maternity session?
Maternity sessions are typically done between 30 and 36 weeks. The timing is different for everyone and I recommend that you don’t wait too late because you will never know when the baby will actually come.
How soon should I schedule my session?
It’s never too early to schedule your maternity session. Sometimes I can accommodate last minute requests, but I recommend a 4-6 week notice. If you would like a weekend appointment it is important to book early as Saturdays and Sundays are booked fast.
Where is your studio located?
My studio is located in Temecula/Murrieta.
Will you come to me?
Yes, I am fully portable and can bring the backdrops and lighting equipment to you.
Does time of the day matter when scheduling a studio maternity shoot?
No. In-studio maternity sessions are done with professional lighting equipment so the time of the day does not matter.
What does the price of maternity package include?
All maternity packages include:
- Initial consultation via phone or email
- Customized guided portrait session using top of the line lighting equipment

Can my partner or my child be in the pictures?
Absolutely! The father of your child is welcome and encouraged to join. If you are bringing your child or children, please bring someone to help keep them occupied. Please note, that family images with children require more time and therefore you might need a longer session. The Fine-Art and the VIP maternity packages are recommended.
How do I prepare for the session?
- Try not to wear tight underwear and clothing on the day of the session to prevent marks on your skin.
- Get a manicure and a pedicure a day or two in advance.
- Prepare your hair and make up before you get to the session.
I recommend natural daytime make up with even skin tone, accented cheek bones and plenty of mascara. Soft natural curls are best for the hair.
What should I wear for my maternity session?
After you book your maternity session, I will send you the What to Wear Guide so that you can have an idea of what you may bring. If the majority of images you are looking to do are artistic nudes, I recommend bringing less clothes. Some of the popular clothing items are:
- Bandeau tops
- Lingerie
- Form fitting dresses
- Flowy maxi dresses
- Statement necklaces
- Lacy/sheer robes
Do I have to be nude?
No. All of my maternity sessions are customized and tailored to the wants and needs of each client. Some clients prefer clean and simple artistic nude photographs and wraps, while others prefer to wear less revealing outfits or to be fully clothed.
Should I be concerned about extra weight (chin, arms, thighs) and stretch marks?
I want you to feel beautiful and relaxed during your photography experience as well as to treasure your final images. Professional retouching is included in your session and you don’t have to worry about any imperfections such as blemishes, stretch marks and certain body contours.
This is my first studio photography experience. Will you guide me and help me pose?
You are in good hands and I want to make sure that you will have the best selection of artistic images. I will be guiding you throughout your session, adjusting your hair, draping you, helping with outfits and making sure you feel comfortable and relaxed.
I would like to take similar images/poses that I saw in your portfolio. Can we do that?
Yes. You can pick your favorite lighting/backdrop set ups and poses from my portfolio and you are welcome to bring your own ideas as well.
Will I be able to preview all images from the shoot and select my favorite shots?
Yes. Your custom maternity session includes a preview of the proofs and selection of only the best images for retouching. I want you to be completely satisfied and know exactly what you will be getting.
How many images will I have to choose from?
One-hour Deluxe sessions typically yield 170-220 proofs. Longer sessions yield 270-350 and more.
Will I get all originals from the session?
A USB with all original images is included with the Premium Maternity Package only.
Can I request more images to be retouched?
Definitely! Sometimes it is hard to narrow down your favorite images and you can add-on more images for retouching for an additional fee.
What is the turnaround time?
It typically takes 3-4 weeks to finish working on the images. You will be notified
when your on-line gallery is ready.
Do I need to come to the studio to see final images?
No. All of the sessions are proofed on-line, so there is no need to make an appointment and come to the studio to see your final images. You will have a private password protected gallery which you can share with your family members and friends if you wish. Your high resolution images will be delivered via download from your gallery. Simple, quick and easy.
What if I need a slight touch up on a final image?
I want you to be 100% satisfied with your final images, so the additional touch ups are included in your session.

Both! All of your final color images will also have b&w duplicates so that you have the freedom to choose the color that you prefer when making your own prints or displaying and sharing your images.
Can I purchase prints from you?
Absolutely. If you wish to order additional enlargements, you can order prints a la carte with no purchase minimum.

Privacy is taken seriously and your maternity images will not be used in any way without your permission.
